    Towards Commentary-Driven Soccer Player Analytics

    Open information extraction (open IE) has been shown to be useful in a number of NLP Tasks, such as question answering, relation extraction, and information retrieval. Soccer is the most watched sport in the world. The dynamic nature of the game corresponds to the team strategy and individual contribution, which are the deciding factors for a team’s success. Generally, companies collect sports event data manually and very rarely they allow free-access to these data by third parties. However, a large amount of data is available freely on various social media platforms where different types of users discuss these very events. To rely on expert data, we are currently using the live-match commentary as our rich and unexplored data-source. Our aim out of this commentary analysis is to initially extract key events from each game and eventually key entities like players involved, player action and other player related attributes from these key events. We propose an end-to-end application to extract commentaries and extract player attributes from it. The study will primarily depend on an extensive crowd labelling of data involving precautionary periodical checks to prevent incorrectly tagged data. This research will contribute significantly towards analysis of commentary and acts as a cheap tool providing player performance analysis for smaller to intermediate budget soccer club

    With the rise of omnipresent foundation of computing resources over the past years, every IT Setup is expanding their horizons in the Cloud services and related technologies. Cloud provides dynamically scalable virtualized computing resources as a service over the Internet and this key characteristic differentiates it from traditional computing paradigm. It is the application of Cloud and mobile computing technologies for improving communication between lawyers, their clients, and any other person involved. This framework basically digitalizes the existing judicial file system to form an e-library using Clouds infrastructure and using the internet services like GPRS or GSM / CDMA or 3G/4G etc for information retrieval from this e-library after the request has received proper authorization and authentication of the regulatory body. Data is received from both Web and mobile based applications so that each person can access the judicial data anytime and anywhere. For the realization of this system, a web interface is created with e-library serving as the main database and with user-friendly interface to do the above data acquisition and analysis which ultimately gives pace to the slow process of case management

    Documenting & Using Cognitive Complexity Mitigation Strategies (CCMS) to Improve the Efficiency of Cross-Context User Transfers

    Cognitive complexity mitigation strategies are methods and approaches utilized by users to reduce the apparent complexity of problems thus making them easier to solve. These strategies often effective because they mitigate the limitations of human working memory and attention resources. Such cognitive complexity mitigation strategies are used throughout the design, development and operational processes of complex systems. Thus, a better understanding of these strategies, and methods that leverage them, can help improve the efficiency of such processes. Additionally, changes in the use of these strategies across various environments can identify cognitive differences in operating and developing across these contexts. This knowledge can help improve the effectiveness of cross-context user transfers by suggesting change management processes that incorporate the degree of cognitive difference across contexts. In order to document cognitive complexity mitigation strategies and the change in their usage, two application domains are studied. Firstly, cognitive complexity mitigation strategies used by designers during the engineering design process are found through an ethnographic immersion with a participating engineering firm, followed by an analysis of the designer's logbooks and validation interviews with the designers. Results include identification of five strategies used by the designers to mitigate design complexity. These strategies include Blackbox Modeling, Whitebox Modeling, Decomposition, Visualization and Prioritized Lists. The five complexity mitigation strategies are probed further across a larger sample of engineering designers and the usage frequency of these strategies is assessed across commonly performed engineering design activities which include the Selection, Configuration and Parametric activities. The results indicate the preferred use of certain strategies based on the engineering activity being performed. Such preferential usage of complexity mitigation strategies is also assessed with regards to Original and Redesign projects types. However, there is no indication of biased strategy usage across these two project characterizations. These results are an example of a usage-frequency based difference analysis; such analyses help identify the strategies that experience increased or reduced usage when transferring across activities. In contrast to the first application domain, which captures changes in how often strategies are used across contexts, the second application domain is a method of assessing differences based on how a specific strategy is used differently across contexts. This alternative method is developed through a project that aims to optimize the transfer of air traffic controllers across different airspace sectors. The method uses a previously researched complexity mitigation strategy, knows as a structure based abstraction, to develop a difference analysis tool called the Sector Abstraction Binder. This tool is used to perform cognitive difference analyses between air traffic control sectors by leveraging characteristic variations in how structure based abstractions are applied across different sectors. This Sector Abstraction Binder is applied to two high-level airspace sectors to demonstrate the utility of such a method

    ATTENUATION OF IRON OVERLOAD AND EFFECT OF ANTIOXIDANTS SUPPLEMENTATION ON OXIDATIVE STRESS IN HOMOZYGOUS β-THALASSEMIA

    It has been projected that ferritin and iron yoke in homozygous thalassemic children is coupled with the enhanced free radical formation and blemished in antioxidative defense coordination. Aim: The purpose of the current study was to analyze the consequence of serum iron, erythrocyte catalase, and erythrocyte superoxide dismutase (ESOD) in patients with beta-thalassemia major. Method: 60 beta-thalassemia major patients were studied before and after supplementation of A – Z antioxidants for 20 weeks, and status were compared with 60 age and sex-matched healthy normal.    Serum Iron estimation was carried out by Ramsay’s Dipyridyl Method. Estimation of erythrocyte superoxide dismutase was done by Kajari Das Method. The levels of Catalase concentration in erythrocytes were analyzed by the Goth method.  All the objectives mentioned above were run by using a UV visible Spectrophotometer (Systronix). Results: A marked enhancement was seen in the intensity of serum iron, and superoxide dismutase (p<0.001) with parallel decline was observed in the level of erythrocyte catalase (p<0.001) in homozygous thalassemia patients when compared with healthy subjects. After 20 weeks of regular supplementation of antioxidants A-Z syrup, which consists of multimineral multivitamins, the concentration of catalase was increased whereas iron and ESOD (p<0.001) were reduced significantly when compared with normal and baselines thalassemic patients. Conclusion: Due to multiple blood transfusions, beta-thalassemia major children are at advanced risk due to secondary iron surplus and intense oxidative stress. Such kind of circumstances may be handled with supplementation of antioxidants A-Z syrup with their regular treatment. &nbsp

    Weyl type f(Q,T)f(Q,T) gravity observational constrained cosmological model

    In this paper, we have studied the dynamical aspects of the cosmological model of the Universe in the Weyl type f(Q,T)f(Q,T) gravity, which is an extension of symmetric teleparallel gravity. The non-metricity scalar QQ has been expressed in standard Weyl form and can be determined by a vector field wμw_{\mu} and the trace of energy momentum tensor denoted as TT. The logarithmic form of the Hubble parametrization has been incorporated and the best fit values of the free parameters have been determined using 32 CC32~CC sample points, 1701 Pantheon+1701~Pantheon^{+} and 6 BAO6~BAO data points. The present value of the H0≈70.2±4.6H_{0}\approx 70.2\pm 4.6, H0≈68.69−0.59+0.67H_{0}\approx 68.69_{-0.59}^{+0.67} and H0≈69.26−0.53+0.57H_{0}\approx 69.26_{-0.53}^{+0.57} respectively for CC SampleCC~Sample, CC+Pantheon+CC + Pantheon^{+} and CC+Pantheon++BAOCC + Pantheon^{+} + BAO datasets. With the constrained values of the free parameters, the cosmographic parameters are constrained and the present value of each parameter has been noted. The deceleration parameter for CC SampleCC~Sample, CC+Pantheon+CC + Pantheon^{+} and CC+Pantheon++BAOCC + Pantheon^{+} + BAO datasets provides −0.5221-0.5221, −0.5477-0.5477 and −0.5691-0.5691 respectively at present time. We have considered exponential and non-linear form of the Weyl type function f(Q,T)f(Q,T) to assess the dynamical behaviour of the model. The accelerating cosmological models show the quintessence behaviour at present time as we get the present EoS parameter values obtained as ω≈−0.7068\omega\approx -0.7068 and ω≈−0.6828\omega\approx -0.6828 for CC SampleCC~Sample, ω≈−0.6991\omega\approx -0.6991 and −0.6949-0.6949 for CC+Pantheon+CC + Pantheon^{+} and ω≈−0.7001\omega\approx -0.7001 and −0.7084-0.7084 for CC+Pantheon++BAOCC + Pantheon^{+} + BAO respectively.Comment: 14 pages, 11 Figures.     Trends in the profile of non hodgkins lymphoma in North and South India: a study from two tertiary care hospitals in India

    Background: A number of environmental and chemical factors have been thought to been implicated in the occurrence of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphomas (NHLs).To fill the knowledge gap in various aspect of the disease, this study was undertaken at this tertiary care centre in Delhi and Bangalore.Methods: This was a prospective observational study conducted in two defenses medical centre in India among patients of Non Hodgkins Lymphoma, registered at Command hospital Airforce Bangalore and Army Hospital (Research and Referral), New Delhi, between March 2016 and March 2019.Results: The disease showed a bimodal onset in both centres with 26 (26%) and 24 (24%) cases occurring in the age group of 31-40 years and 24 (24%) and 25 (25%) cases occurring in the age group of >60 years at CHAF (B) and AH (RR) respectively. B cell Lymphoma was the most common type of NHL seen in 85% and 89% patients, whereas T-cell lymphomas constituted 13% and 11% at CHAF (B) and AH (RR).  32(32%) patients presented with an Ann Arbor Stage 1 or 2 disease whereas 68(68%) patients were with Stage 3 or 4 disease at both the centers. IPI score was ≥3 in 45 % and 43% patients.Conclusions: NHL in India is a homogeneous and uniform disease. But there was increased detection of hepatosplenomegaly and associated hepatitis B/C in the southern part of India. Also, the occurrence of Cutaneous T cell lymphoma was only seen in the south India centre. The early stage NHLs has better survival and increase chance of complete response

    Constrained cosmological model in f(Q,T)f(Q,T) gravity with non-linear non-metricity

    The f(Q,T)f(Q,T) cosmological model has emerged as a promising framework for understanding various aspects of cosmic evolution. In this study, we focused on obtaining the constraints of the free parameters in the non-linear form of non-metricity in f(Q,T)f(Q,T) gravity using the HubbleHubble, PantheonPantheon, and BAOBAO datasets. To determine the best-fit values for the model parameters and the equation of state (EoS) parameter, we employed an MCMC analysis. By examining the error bar plots, we observed that both the model curve and the Λ\LambdaCDM curve successfully passed through the range obtained from the datasets. Additionally, we studied the state finder diagnostics and energy conditions to gain insights into the properties of the model. Furthermore, we conducted an analysis using the Om(z)Om(z) diagnostic, which provides a null test for the validity of the Λ\LambdaCDM model.Comment: 11 pages, 7 figure
